After five defeats in the first five matches, Mosta earned the first point in the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round as they held Birkirkara in a goalless draw at the National Stadium on Saturday.
Much more was expected from the Stripes which were coming from back-to-back wins over Tarxien Rainbows and Valletta and following a most quiet first half, they tried to break the deadlock but Geoffrey Acheampong was denied twice by goalkeeper Udoh David Akpan. They now share fourth place with Gzira United, Hibernians and Marsaxlokk.
Mosta, on the other hand, join Zabbar St. Patrick and Tarxien Rainbows on one point.
