Heavy defeat for Under-19 side to Albania

Malta suffered a heavy 7-1 defeat to hosts Albania in a match from the UEFA Under-19 Championship Round 1 League B Group B4 at the Hours of Football in Tirana on Saturday.

Arman Durmiši put the hosts ahead on 21 minutes but five minutes later, Jack Camilleri levelled matters. However Albania regained the lead on 35 minutes thanks to Gabriel Kulla and nine minutes later, Durmiši made it 3-1.

Durmiši extended the lead four minutes in the second half and Enis Redzepi made it 5-1 on 56 minutes. Gabriel Kulla scored another two goals on 72 and 80 minutes.

In the first match, Malta had lost narrowly to Norway while in the third and final match, Vasco Regini’s side will be facing Luxembourg.
