Marsaxlokk FC unveil new Nike kits

Marsaxlokk FC unveiled the new Nike kits which they would be wearing as from this season following a seven year agreement with Hudson Group.

The colour of the home kit will be sky blue with a white collar and white sleeve cuffs while the away kit will be yellow.

Marsaxlokk team manager Peter Agius said that this summer, the club retained more or less the same players of the team which finished in the runner-up spot last season although there were a few signings meant to strengthen the squad.

Agius added that the club’s objective will be that of winning a major honour and augured that following this partnership with Nike, together they can celebrate such an achievement.

Peter Agius thanked Hudson Group and Jose Borg who was instrumental in the signing of this agreement.

Marsaxlokk coach Vincenzo Potenza said “When dealing with a high-level brand like Nike, which was born from the Greek goddess, symbol of victory, it is a commitment on our part and on Nike’s part.”

“We have retained a large portion of the team because they achieved something extraordinary last year. In my opinion, everyone deserved to be retained and to have the chance to repeat their success this year. I think that out of the teams that made it to the final round last year, I don’t think anyone expected the work these guys have done. I’ll always have to thank them privately, but I’d also like to take this opportunity to do so publicly. “

Hudson Group Country General Manager David Shone said that Hudson Group were proud of this collaboration with Marsaxlokk FC which brings together sport, community and their brands.

“We have the ambition and heritage of Marsaxlokk FC along with the power and knowledge from Nike as well as the reach of Sports Direct. We are looking forward to see these kits on the pitch, and hopefully soon in the hands of supporters,” added David Shone.
