Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Football Club announced that Edgar Degabriele has resigned from his position as Head Coach of the Senior Team with immediate effect. The Club has accepted his resignation.
In a statement, the club said that Edgar Degabriele leaves Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s having played an important role in one of the most significant periods in the Club’s recent history.
“During his time at the helm, Edgar helped make history by guiding Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s to promotion to top-flight Maltese football and winning the Challenge Cup.”
“These achievements will remain an important part of the Club’s history and represent a contribution for which Edgar will always be recognised.”
“The Club would like to place on record its sincere appreciation for Edgar’s commitment, professionalism and contribution throughout his time with Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s.”

The Club announced that they had already taken steps regarding the future sporting leadership of the Senior Team and will make a separate announcement regarding the appointment of its new Head Coach shortly.
