Swieqi United defeated Pieta’ Hotspurs 3-2 in an entertaining clash from the BOV Challenge League at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Vito Plut converted a penalty on 13 minutes but Luca Gatt equalised just before half-time. Precious Uchechukwu Nwankwo made it 2-1 for Kevin Vella’s side but Zak Barbara equalised for Swieqi on 83 minutes and three minutes in added time, Salam Kojo Mawuena notched the winner.
In another match, St. Andrews and Santa Lucia shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Zach Attard put St. Andrews ahead on the hour but Terence Vella equalised twelve minutes from time.
