The press conference was addressed by Pippo Psaila – Technical Director at Luxol St. Andrews, Paul Falzon – Chairman at Luxol Sports Club, Davide Falloppa – Area Manager at Nike Italy and Edward Borg, Marketing Manager at Time International (Urban Jungle Franchise owners and Nike Local Distributors).
Commenting on the renewal of the sponsorship agreement, Luxol FC Technical Director Pippo Psaila said; “We are extremely honoured that a brand such as Nike has chosen to sponsor Luxol for another three years. We feel very proud to be part of Nike’s family of football teams.”
Time International Marketing Manager Edward Borg said: “Luxol is a club which is loyal to our brands and which has a forward looking vision of sport in Malta and the company will always appreciate the close links it has with Luxol and other clubs it supports”
Mr. Borg also announced the Cristiano Ronaldo Speed Challenge initiative, geared for the younger players at the club’s nursery and which will be sponsored by Nike and Urban Jungle. This initiative is targeted to the Under 13 and Under 15 players at Luxol and other nurseries sponsored by Nike and Urban Jungle. The Speed Challenge will be held on the 24th October at Luxol and will involve 50 players from each age group from the various nurseries. The challenge consists of a series of running with the ball exercises through a series of obstacles in the least possible time. More information will be given to the parents and children by the nurseries in the coming days.
