Jhonnattann Benites da Conceicao was voted the BOV Player of the Month for February 2016. The Brazilian striker, who returned to Valletta during Summer following a stint with the Citizens in 2012, collected his sixth individual award in the BOV Premier League.
Jhonnattann, along with Falcone, is the front-runner in Valletta’s attacking line that has secured them top spot in the BOV Premier League and are closing in on another title.
The Brazilian’s skills were very evident Valletta’s 3-0 win over Mosta. Combining with Ledesma to rob the ball in midfield, Jhonnattann advanced through the middle before slipping a through-ball to Falcone who slotted past a helpless goalkeeper. Three minutes into the second half, Jhonnattann picked a pass from Falcone, raced into the box from the left and hit a low shot into the bottom corner, earning him the BOV Player of the Match.
Charles Grech Soler, Manager of BOV Branch in Republic Street Valletta presented Jhonnattan with his trophy for BOV Player of the Month for February 2016. The player chose Puttinu Cares to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
