The Protests Board of the Malta Football Association did not uphold the protest filed by Hibernians FC against the result of the BOV Premier League match against Birkirkara which was played last Sunday.
The 2-1 win for Birkirkara, which effectively meant that Valletta FC were declared champions, is therefore to stand.
Hibernians argued that a number of Birkirkara foreign players were not registered with authorities responsible for employment in Malta as required by MFA regulations.
