Malta international Zach Muscat joined Turkish First League side Şanlıurfaspor.
The thirty-one year old defender has been inactive since the end of last season.
A product of Pietà Hotspurs, Muscat joined Birkirkara in 2012. His first experience abroad was with Akragas, joining them in January 2016. The following season, he moved to Arezzo where he spent two years, helping his team avoid relegation despite the club’s financial troubles. In 2018, he joined Pistoiese, signing a two-year deal but moved to SC Olhanense the following season. Muscat then moved to Casa Pia in 2020 with whom he won promotion to the top division but in 2022, he joined SC Farense with whom he won promotion and eventually played in the Primeira Liga.
Şanlıurfaspor sit just out of the relegation zone in the Turkish second division – the Turkish First League. They collected 28 points from 22 matches.
