Zebbug Rovers and Ghajnsielem secured a place in Round 2 of the Malta FA Jubilee Cup (Gozo Region) as they registered wins in two matches from Round 1 at the Gozo Stadium on Tuesday.
In the first match, a goal by Haraan Barbosa twelve minutes in the second half handed Zebbug Rovers a narrow win over Oratory Youths.
In Round 2, Zebbug Rovers will be facing the winner of the clash between Qala Saints and Xewkija Tigers.
In the second match, Ghajnsielem defeated Munxar Falcons 4-0.
David Portelli put the Blacks ahead on 4 minutes and Tom Tom doubled the score five minutes later. Joshua Buttigieg made it 3-0 on 13 minutes and Tom Tom added another on 65 minutes.
Ghajnsielem will be meeting the winner of the clash between Xaghra United and Kercem Ajax in Round 2.
