The draws of the final rounds of the Malta FA Jubilee Cup, supported by Enemed, were held on Friday 19th September 2025, with the competition heating up as the teams edge towards the finals.
The competition is being organised as part of the celebrations related to the Malta FA’s 125th anniversary, with clubs from all divisions, as well as teams from other member associations, taking part.
MALTA FA JUBILEE JUP SECOND PHASE DRAWS (MEN)
Over the past month, teams from the BOV Amateur Leagues, the Gozo Football Association and respective member associations have battled it out in the First Phase to decide a spot in the Second Phase. There are still three matches from the Gozo Group of the First Phase left to confirm the teams entering the Second Phase.
The Second Phase draws were held by Malta FA Football Operations Manager Stewart Said, together with Enemed CEO Kevin Chircop, at Centenary Hall, Ta’ Qali.
This phase of the competition will see the 10 teams from the First Phase be joined by clubs from the Premier League and the BOV Challenge League.
Firstly, there will be a Preliminary Round held where 12 teams from the 10 First Phase teams and the 16 BOV Challenge League teams will be drawn to face off each other and trim that number to six.
These six teams will then be joining the rest of the BOV Challenge League teams, as well as the 12 Premier League teams to compete in the Round of 32.
The draws of the Second Phase of the competition are as follows:
MALTA FA JUBILEE CUP (WOMEN)
These set of draws will also mark the start of the Women’s section of the competition. For the draws, Stewart Said was joined by Enemed Brand Ambassador Claire Agius.
For this competition, there will be six teams from the Assikura Women’s League taking part, namely: Birkirkara FC, Hibernians FC, Mgarr United, San Gwann FC, Swieqi United, and Valletta FC.
As a result, there will be a Preliminary Round where four teams will be drawn to play one another. The winners of these two matches will progress to the Semi-Final, with the winners then contesting the Final on 8th December 2025.
