Birkirkara beat Zabbar to move fifth

Birkirkarar returned to winning ways as they defeated Zabbar St. Patrick in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier Opening Round league phase at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Friday. 

For the Stripes, this was the third win in four matches as they maintained their unbeaten run since the appointment of Gianluca Festa as their new coach.  Birkirkara are now fifth on 13 points, one behind Hibernians. 

Zabbar, on the other hand, suffer a fourth defeat in eight matches to remain joint-fourth from bottom on six points. 

Macula put the Stripes ahead on 37 minutes and Kemar Reid sealed the issue with a second goal on the 90th.
