After defeating Zabbar St. Patrick 2-0 last week, Birkirkara earned another three precious points as they defeated Hibernians 2-0 in a match from the 360Sports Malta Premier Closing Round at the National Stadium on Saturday. 

The Stripes join Marsaxlokk on top on 15 points, one point ahead of Hamrun Spartans and Floriana, who have a game in hand.  The Paolites, on the other hand, remain fifth on twelve. 

Leandro Lacunza put Birkirkara ahead seven minutes from the end of the first half and Gnamien Yipke doubled the score eight minutes from time.
