Six players were handed a one-match ban by the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches from the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round.
Fran Lopez (Birkirkara), Bjorn Kristensen (Hibs), Prince Chibuzor Emmanuel (Mosta), Dejan Djuric (Sliema), Steve Borg (Valletta) and Mayron (Zabbar) are therefore ruled out of the weekend’s matches.
In the BOV Challenge League, Benjamin Hili (Balzan) was banned for one match.
Josmar Galea and Luca Martinelli (Attard), David James Saliba (Kirkop), Josuel Spiteri (Luqa), Shaban Chikh Ali and Dylan Mifsud (Xghajra) were banned for one match in the BOV Amateur League I.
On the other hand, Emmanuel Cutajar (Ghaxaq), Owen Gauci and Larens Vella (Kalkara), Johann Vassallo and Donovan Zammit (Sta. Venera) and Clayton Borg (Siggiewi) were suspended for one match in the BOV Amateur League II. St. George’s official John Louis Sammut was banned for four matches.
