Floriana were held in a 2-2 draw by Birkirkara in a match from the league phase of the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round Top 6 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.
The Greens, therefore risk starting the Top 6 on level points with Hamrun Spartans should the latter beat Mosta on Sunday. For the Stripes, the draw would not spare them from playing in the Bottom 6 along with Sliema Wanderers, Hibernians, Zabbar St. Patrick, Tarxien Rainbows and Mosta.
Kenan Dervisagic handed Floriana the lead on 4 minutes but four minutes later, Kemar Reid equalised for Birkirkara. The Greens regained the lead thanks to a Jake Grech penalty on 34 minutes.
However, as Floriana seemed heading towards victory, four minutes in added time, Jan Busuttil notched the equaliser for the Stripes.
