Two defeats in the first two matches for Futsal national team in Denmark

Malta suffered back-to-back defeats in the first two matches from the FIFA Futsal World Cup Preliminary Round qualifiers at the Park Vendia Hallen in Hjorring, Denmark.

In the first match on Wednesday, Malta lost 1-5 to hosts Denmark.  William Gantzhorn and Emil Rasmussen gave Denmark a two-goal lead within the first seven minutes and two goals in twenty two seconds in the final minute of the first half by Rasmussen and Oliver Borsting put the hosts four goals ahead. Nathan Cope reduced the gap for Malta on 26 minutes but Zakaria El Ouaz made it 5-1 eight minutes later.

On Thursday, Malta lost 0-5 to Andorra. Arnau Rodriguez put Andorra ahead on 3 minutes and Christian Regalo doubled the score on 14 minutes. Brayan Dos Santos made it 3-0 early in the second half and after Malta had goalkeeper Clint Mifsud sent off, Josep Segura and Regalo added another two goals for Andorra.
