Heavy defeat for futsal national team against Denmark

Malta lost 8-0 to Denmark in a match from Group B of the Preliminary Round from the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup qualifiers at the Utleirahallen in Trondheim, Norway on Wednesday

Louis Veis opened the score for Denmark and an own goal by Mark Zammit doubled the score. Kevin Jorgensen converted a penalty and Veis scored another to hand Denmark a four-goal lead in the first half. In the second half, Jeppe Laursen increased the lead and following another goal by Veis, Emil Rasmussen and Josef Moussa added another two goals.

Malta will be in action once again on Thursday, facing hosts Norway who lost 2-3 in their first game on Wednesday.
