Meridianbet FA Trophy winners Hibernians are set to enter the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League rather than the first qualifying round of the competition since both Chelsea and Real Betis, who will be contesting the UEFA Conference League final, are already assured of a place in the Champions League league stage and the Europa League league stage respectively.
The Paolites will therefore be one of the unseeded teams in the second qualifying round.
Meanwhile the other two Maltese participants in the UEFA Conference League – 360Sports Malta Premier runners-up Birkirkara and third-placed Floriana will enter the competition in the first qualifying round.
Floriana are seeded and Birkirkara unseeded.
Potential opponents for the Maltese clubs will be confirmed later during the week.
