Floriana bounced back from the defeat to Valletta during the week as they beat Marsaxlokk 2-1 in a match from the YoHealth Malta Premier at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Saturday.
A win which puts the Greens temporarily in first place before the match between Hibernians and Naxxar Lions. Floriana are now one point ahead of Hamrun and Marsaxlokk.
The Southseasiders suffer the second defeat in the last three matches.
Mustapha Jah put Floriana ahead on 39 minutes and Jake Grech doubled the score on 78 minutes. Marsaxlokk pulled one back thanks to an own goal on 90 minutes.
