Floriana take sole leadership in the YoHealth Malta Premier Closing Round as they came from behind to beat Gzira United 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Sunday.
The Greens therefore maintained their unbeaten record with a fourth win in five matches to move to points ahead of Hamrun Spartans. On the other hand, Gzira suffer a first defeat and now share third place with Hibernians and Marsaxlokk, one pointt behind the Spartans.
Maxuell Samurai put the maroons ahead on 11 minutes but four minutes in the second half, Mustapha Jah levelled matters.
The game seemed heading for a draw but after being interrupted for around ten minutes due to the throwing of objects from the Floriana stand onto the pitch, when the game resumed Rui Areias notched the winner, ten minutes in added time.
