Floriana managed to take the lead thanks to a direct freekick by Fernandinho on 4 minutes. with the ball ending in the top right corner.
Fernandinho doubled the score on 16 minutes when he took advantage of a mix-up by two Gzira players, beating Giulio Mangano with a diagonal shot from the right.
Elvis Mashike made it 3-0 on 69 minutes, converting a penalty after he was brought down by Gabriel Bohrer Mentz inside the area.
