Malta Under-17 National Team Coach Francesco Macri has named a 30-player provisional squad ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 UEFA European U17 Championship Qualifying – Round 2 matches.
Malta has been drawn in Group B2, which also features Bulgaria, Lithuania and Azerbaijan, with the matches set to be hosted by Bulgaria.
The opening encounter will see Malta take on Lithuania on Tuesday 24th March at the Football Complex – Nikola Shterev in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, with kick-off at 10:00hrs. This will then be followed by a clash against Bulgaria on Friday 27th March, kicking off at 14:00hrs at the Hristo Botev Stadium, also in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The final match will see Malta take on Azerbaijan on Monday 30th March at 12:00hrs, once again at the Football Complex – Nikola Shterev.
These matches will see the teams compete for promotion to League A, as the young Maltese side continue to gain further experience on the international stage.
