Details about the Under-21 national team and both the men’s and women’s youth teams were given by Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo on Tuesday.
The Malta Under-21 side, now led by Davide Mazzotta, assisted by Francesco Macri, will kick-off its UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifying commitments on September 9. Malta will face Greece, Northern Ireland, Georgia, Germany and Latvia.
In the mean time, Malta will play three friendly matches, one against Estonia at home on March 25 while the others which are yet to be confirmed will be played in June away from home and another one at home in September before the first qualifier against Greece.

The Malta Under-19 national team, led by Paul Gatt, will play friendly matches against Latvia away from home in September and Belarus at home in October ahead the UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifiers in November where Malta will be facing Northern Ireland, Czechia and Azerbaijan between November 12 and 18.
The Malta Under-17 national team led by Francesco Macri, assisted by Jonathan Holland, will be playing friendly matches against Italian clubs Sampdoria and Spezia in March. Malta will then host the Under-17 Championship matches in April, facing Bulgaria, Luxembourg and the Faroe Islands between April 10 and 16.
The Under-17s will then meet Liechtenstein in two friendly matches in September ahead of another round of the Under-17 Championship matches against Serbia, Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina between November 11 and 17.
The Malta Women’s Under-19 national team, led by David Attard, assisted by Martina Borg, will play matches from the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship in April where Malta will be hosting Kosovo, Latvia and Kazakhstan. Another round of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship matches will be played in November with the draws set for the June.
On the other hand, the the Malta Women’s Under-17 national team, led by Clint Tabone, assisted by Karen Henaghan, will play three matches from the UEFA Women’s Under-17 Championship in Azerbaijan in March against Bulgaria, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan.
