Five players were suspended by the Malta Disciplinary Commissioner on Tuesday following the weekend’s matches from the 360Sports Malta Premier.
Pedrao (Hibernians) and Takuma Yamaguchi (Naxxar) were banned for three matches while Triston Caruana (Balzan), Dunstan Vella (Floriana) and Prince Afriyie (Mosta) were banned for one match.
Sliema official Malachy Portelli was suspended for two matches.
In the BOV Challenge League, Zebbug goalkeeper Jamie Azzopardi was suspended for eight matches, Diego (Gudja) was handed a three-match ban while Lydon Micallef (Marsa), Emmanuel Bio (Pieta’), Miguel D’Alessandro (Tarxien), Yenz Cini (Fgura) Travis Bartolo and Nicholas Gauci (Gudja), Kieran Paul Fenech (Mtarfa), Tyrone Fenech (Senglea) and Chico Mendes (Zebbug) were all banned for one match.
In the IZIBET Amateur League 1, Julian Azzopardi and Carl Ciantar (Birzebbuga), Miguel Simiana (Gharghur) and Thomas Francis Grech (Luqa) were handed a one-match ban
On the other hand, in the IZIBET Amateur League 2, Gaynor D’Amato (Ghaxaq) was suspended for seven matches while Nikolai Farrugia Cross (Mqabba), Tyrone Grech (Siggiewi) and Donovan Zammit (Sta. Venera) were banned for one match. Dingli coach Nicolai Caruana was banned for one match.
