Valletta to represent Malta in UEFA Europa League as Birkirkara FC appeal is turned down

Valletta FC will be representing Malta in the UEFA Europa League along with Balzan FC and the winners of the FA Trophy after the Board of Appeal of the Malta Football Association has turned down the appeal lodged by Birkirkara FC over their unsuccessful application for a UEFA licence for season 2017/18.

The ruling made by the Board of Appeal ratifies the decision of the MFA Member Clubs Licensing Board in not granting Birkirkara FC a UEFA licence after the club was unable to satisfy all the requirements of the licensing process.
