Obinna Obiefule is the first major signing of newly-promoted Zebbug Rangers as the club aims to strengthen the squad in their bid to retain Premier League status.
Obinna Obiefule had moved to Malta to join Hamrun Spartans midway through season 2009/10 but after being released by the club, he joined Sliema Wanderers. In summer 2011, he signed for Marsaxlokk. With the Southseasiders, he scored ten goals in eleven matches. After having his contract terminated by mutual agreement, Obiefule moved to Mosta, scoring another 24 goals to help the Blues secure their Premier League status at the end of season 2012/13.
In January 2013, he moved to Hibernians where he established himself in the Paolites’ starting line-up in the latter part of last season.
