After spending the last few months with SS Akragas Città dei Templi in Agrigento, Malta international defender Zach Muscat will be moving to another team in the Italian Lega Pro after signing a two-year deal with US Arezzo. This was announced by the Tuscan club’s official website.

Zach Muscat played for St. Andrews and Melita before joining the Pietà Hotspurs Nursery. With the Hotspurs, he made his debut at senior level in the First Division. With the Stripes, he won the Premier League championship in 2012/13, the FA Trophy in 2014/15 and two Super Cups in 2013 and 2014.

Arezzo have been playing in the Lega Pro over the past two years, placing ninth in Section A in 2014/15 and once again ninth in Section B last season.

The club, who played in the Serie B for sixteen years between 1966 and 2007, went bankrupt in 2009 and was reformed as ASD Atletico Arezzo and renamed renamed as US Arezzo in 2012. They played in the Serie D between 2010 and 2014 when they were awarded a place in the Lega Pro.
