Sliema Wanderers signed Brazilian thirty two year old left wingback Thiago Espindola de Paula.

Thiaguinho played for Tupi FC, Anapolis and Rio Branco EC in Brazil before moving to Malta to join Hamrun Spartans in 2017. He spent one year with the Spartans. He moved back to Brazil where he had a short spell with EC Tigres but returned to Malta in summer 2019 to sign for Sirens where he spent two years, moving to Gzira United in 2021.

The Wanderers, who have confirmed Paul Zammit as their coach, had earlier announced the signing of Luke Montebello and are also expected to confirm shortly the signing of Roko Prsa. Meanwhile Geoffrey Acheampong moved to Birkirkara.
