Tarxien Rainbows FC secured the services of Colombian thirty two year old forward Johan Alberto Castaño Arias.

A product of Once Caldas in Colombia, Castano moved to Portugal where he played for Farense, Coruchense and Sernache before moving to Malta in January 2018 to join Zejtun Corinthians. In summer 2019, he moved to Nadur Youngsters but the following season, he joined Mqabba. In summer 2021, he moved to Swieqi United, joining Fgura United in summer 2023. Last season, he played for Xaghra United.

Tarxien, who have confirmed coach Jacques Scerri, had earlier signed goalkeepers Andrea Cassar and Miguel Spiteri, Marcus Grima, William James England, Andreas Vella, Luke Anthony Borg and Kyle Gatt and confirmed Matthew Tabone, Miguel D’Alessandro and Sheldon Mizzi.
