Valletta secured the services of Colombian twenty seven year old midfielder Jackson David Usuga Mendoza.

A product of Once Caldas in Colombia, Mendoza moved to Quarteirense in Portugal but one year later joined Santa Lucia. Two years later, he moved to Gzira United where he spent the last five years
