Naxxar Lions FC signed twenty three year old central defender Christian Gauci.

A product of San Gwann, Gauci, who is an Under-21 international, joined Valletta in summer 2021, spending the last four years at the club.

The Lions had earlier confirmed George Vella as their coach.
