Marsaxlokk FC secured the services of twenty one year old defender James Vella.

A product of San Gwann, Vella moved to Sliema Wanderers in 2022 but was loaned to Swieqi United last season.

The Southseasiders, who have confirmed Enzo Potenza as their coach, had earlier signed goalkeepers Christopher Mafoumbi and Pablo Sanchez, Enrico Pepe, Triston Caruana, Ensell Attard, Weder Silva, Oualid El Hasni, Ayom Majok and Marcelo Santos while Jake Ghio and Dodo will be staying at the club. On the other hand, Karl Micallef, Ryan Scicluna, Duane Bonnici, Lucas Lopez and Yuri Messias moved elsewhere.
