UEFA Europa League third qualifying round: Hamrun Spartans to face Maccabi Tel Aviv

Hamrun Spartans will be facing Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. 

The first leg should be played at home on August 7 but the game could be anticipated to August 5 or 6. The second leg would be held on August 14 in an neutral venue.

Since the Israeli FA joined UEFA, Maccabi Tel Aviv played their first match in Europe against Valletta, winning 2-1 and 1-0. In season 2015/16, they were drawn with Hibernians in the UEFA Champions League, winning 6-3 on aggregate after losing 1-2 to Hibernians and winning 5-1 at home.
