Sliema Wanderers, Hibernians, Floriana and Marsaxlokk will be aiming for a second win this weekend as five matches from match day 2 of the YoHealth Malta Premier Opening Round are scheduled at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.
After defeating Zabbar 2-1 in their first outing, the Wanderers take on Mosta who lost 1-3 to Marsaxlokk last week, on Friday.
On Saturday, Floriana, who beat Naxxar Lions 3-1, face Tarxien Rainbows following the latter’s impressive performance in the 1-1 draw with Hamrun Spartans.
Also on Saturday, Birkirkara and Gzira United will be aiming for a first win after the Stripes were held in a goalless draw by Valletta and the Maroons were beaten 5-3 by Hibernians.
On Sunday, the Paolities face Zabbar St. Patrick who are eager to bounce back following the defeat to Sliema while Marsaxlokk chase a second win as they take on Naxxar Lions.
The other match between Hamrun Spartans and Valletta will be played on Sunday 31.
