Mazzotta names final squad ahead of Greece Under-21 qualifier

Malta Under-21 National Team Coach Davide Mazzotta has finalised the squad for the team’s UEFA EURO U21 Qualifier against Greece.

The Maltese side will be taking on Greece on Tuesday 9th September 2025 at the Centenary Stadium, Ta’ Qali, with kick-off at 19:00hrs.

This will serve as the first of 10 matches that the Malta U21 National Team will have in Group F, which also includes Georgia, Germany, Latvia and Northern Ireland.

Coach Mazzotta had initially called up a 27-man squad, but has now trimmed it down to 22 players. Basil Tuma and Alfie Bridgman, who were both previously in the squad, have not yet recovered from physical problems and will thus remain sidelined. However, the team has been boosted by the returns of Jake Azzopardi and Keyon Ewurum, who both previously featured for the Malta National Team.

This UEFA EURO U21 Qualifying campaign will be the first that the Malta U21 National Team will have under the leadership of Coach Mazzotta, and tickets for the encounter can be bought from tickets.mfa.com.mt.
