The Malta FA Jubilee Cup Phase 1 entered the final stage with the first matches from Round 2.
Attard defeated Msida St. Joseph 3-1 at the Sirens Stadium. Jayden John Bonanno put Attard ahead on 5 minutes. Nicholas Schembri doubled the score on 25 minutes and five minutes in the second half, Staline Degabriele extended the lead. Thomas Grima pulled one back three minutes from time.
Qormi beat Zejtun Corinthians 2-1 at the Luxol Stadium. Dale Mifsud put Qormi ahead on 16 minutes and although Adrian Carabott equalised on 33 minutes, Innocent John Awori notched the winner on 81 minutes.
In another match at the Luxol Stadium, a brace by Ogechukwi Junior Ohalewe on 6 and 13 minutes and a goal by Mario Jude Dominicus on 23 minutes handed Senglea Athletic a 3-0 win over Qrendi.
On the other hand, Victoria Hotspurs beat Pembroke Athleta 3-1 at the Sirens Stadium. Shawn Attard put the Hotspurs ahead on 35 minutes. Wagner made it 2-1 on 51 minutes and although Weverton pulled one back on 62 minutes, Rondinely restored the two-goal lead ten minutes from time.
On Friday, Malta Veterans defeated MAFA 3-1 at the Centenary Stadium to also secure a place in Phase 2. Chijioke Moses Nwankwo put MAFA ahead after just four minutes but Adam Smeir equalised on 12 minutes. Thomas Paris handed Malta Veterans the lead on 43 minutes and Andrew Cohen made it 3-1 on 59 minutes.
