Naxxar Lions earned their first point in the YoHealth Malta Premier Opening Round thanks to a 1-1 draw with Zabbar St. Patrick at the National Stadium on Saturday.
The Lions join Tarxien on one point, one behind Zabbar, Birkirkara and Gzira. For Zabbar, this was the second consecutive draw.
Naxxar Lions managed to take the lead on 9 minutes thanks to a powerful shot by Gustavo Felipe whcih beat goalkeeper Luca Camilleri.
However, Zabbar equalised on 19 minutes when off a cross by Mario Fontanella, Toni Silva placed the ball at the back of the net.
