Tarxien Rainbows registered their first win in the YoHealth Malta Premier Opening Round as they defeated Naxxar Lions 3-2 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium on Tuesday. 

The Rainbows now lie on the four-point mark, leaving the Lions at the bottom of the table with just one point. 

Nnamdi Ofufu Ibeh put Tarxien ahead after just nine minutes but Vinicius equalised on 23 minutes. Naxxar forged ahead thanks to a goal byJoao Moura  on 59 minutes. However Kyle Gatt equalised on 66 minutes and Nhayson notched the winner eleven minutes from time.
