Fgura United registered a third win in as many matches from the BOV Challenge League as they defeated Marsa 3-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Saturday.
Adolphus Nagbe Marshall put Fgura ahead on 6 minutes but Klose Azzopardi Conti equalised on 24 minutes. However, just before the end of the first half, Matteo Gambin restored the lead for Fgura. Matthew Brincat converted a penalty ten minutes from time to make it 3-1.
In a match at the Centenary Stadium, Balzan and Pieta’ Hotspurs shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Arthur Stelmach put the Hotspurs ahead on 35 minutes but five minutes in the second half, Chiemezie Stephen Gabriel equalised for Balzan.
Vittoriosa Stars registered their first win as a goal by Arsene Rye Cilia Mumford on 73 minutes handed them a narrow win over Mgarr United at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
At the Centenary Stadium, Melita scored two in each half to beat Mtarfa 4-0. Alec Sladden put Melita ahead on 22 minutes. Jesus Yepez doubled the score on 37 minutes and went on to score another on 52 minutes with Quadri Olanshile Allionida making it 4-0 five minutes later.
