Kalkara United are the only team with maximum points after two matches in the BOV Amateur II after defeating Gharghur 4-0 at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.
Isaac Abela put Kalkara ahead on 32 minutes and Jean Claude Annati doubled the score just before the end of the first half. Abela added another on 53 minutes with Darren Darmanin scoring a fourth goal on 77 minutes.
Ta’ Xbiex registered a comfortable 5-0 win over Siggiewi at the Luxol Stadium. Nicholas Zammit put Ta’ Xbiex ahead on 20 minutes and Kane Micallef doubled the score three minutes later. Nicholas Scicluna extended the lead on 50 minutes with Victor Hugo Alves Fernandes scoring twice on 69 and 74 minutes.
Goals by Ryan Dalli on 32 minutes and Andrea Hammett on 52 minutes handed St. George’s a 2-0 win over Rabat Ajax at the Sirens Stadium while at the Centenary Stadium, Santa Venera Lightnings defeated Ghaxaq 3-0 courtesy of Andre Mallia on 12 minutes, Zak Francica on 19 minutes and Desire Koiba on 53 minutes.
Dingli Swallows came from behind to beat Marsaskala 3-1 at the Luxol Stadium. Federico Galea put Marsaskala ahead on 9 minutes but Jurgen Gerada scored twice on 52 and 63 minutes with Ronaldinho Daley adding another on 66 minutes.
In another match at the Centenary Stadium, Msida St. Joseph and Mdina Knights shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Jordan Vella put Mdina ahead on 5 minutes and although Yessous Camilleri equalised on 36 minutes, Jamie Lee Micallef made it 2-1 on 40 minutes. However, Thomas Grima notched the equaliser on 57 minutes.
