Kalkara United registered a fourth win in as many matches in the BOV Amateur League II as they defeated Siggiewi 2-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Miguel Perez Jimenez put Kalkara ahead on 2 minutes and Ryan Sammut doubled the score three minutes in the second half. Tyrone Grech reduced the gap on 66 minutes.
In another match, Rabat Ajax defeated Ta’ Xbiex 2-0 thanks to goals by Victor Ifeanyi Mbata on 70 minutes and Edward Falzon three minutes in added time.
Kalkara lead the way with 12 points, followed by Rabat on 9, Dingli 7, St. George’s 6, Mdina and Msida 5, Ta’ Xbiex 4, Sta. Venera and Siggiewi 3, Marsaskala and Ghaxaq 1 and Gharghur 0.
