A goal by Tahouto Gaoue on 41 minutes handed Mqabba their third win in the BOV Amateur LeagueI as they defeated Lija Athletic at the Charles Abela Stadium on Saturday.
On the other hand, Joseph Jojo Ogunnupe scored twice for Qrendi in a 2-1 win over San Gwann at the same venue. Ogunnupe put Qrendi ahead on 7 minutes and although Ryan Muscat equalised on 20 minutes, Ogunnupe notched the winner on 56 minutes.
Attard and Mqabba lead the way with 9 points, followed by Qrendi on 8, Kirkop 5, Mellieha, Zejtun, Senglea and Luqa 4, Victoria, San Gwann and Qormi 3, Lija 2, Xghajra and Pembroke 1.
