David Attard names women’s Under-19 national team ahead of UEFA qualifiers

Malta Women Under-19 National Team Coach David Attard has announced a 22-player provisional squad for the upcoming UEFA Euro WU19 Qualifiers that will be held over the coming days.

Malta has been drawn in Group 6 of League B, together with Latvia, Israel and Kazakhstan. Attard’s team will have three testing fixtures at the Centenary Stadium in the space of a few days, as the side looks to continue its development. The matches will be live on the Malta FA YouTube channel.

The team is coming off the back of two international friendly matches against Lebanon last month. During those matches, Lebanon came out on top 4-2 in the first match, but Malta stood firm in the second, securing a 1-1 draw. Despite the results, the matches served as great preparation for the team ahead of the qualifying round.

Malta’s first match will be against Latvia on Tuesday 25th November, with kick-off at 11:00hrs. Following that, Malta will be taking on Israel on Friday 28th November at 14:30hrs. Malta’s final match of the group will see the side face off against Kazakhstan on Monday 1st December, kicking off at 11:00hrs.
