Mqabba joined Attard on top the BOV Amateur League I as they defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 3-2 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Friday.
Luka Mijic converted a penalty on 17 minutes and Tahouto Cedric Gaoue doubled the score four minutes from the end f the first half. Luqa hit back with a goal by Bydasser Sammut on 58 minutes and a Collins Gyamfi penalty on 75 minutes but nine minutes from time Luka Mijic notched the winner for Mqabba.
Attard and Mqabba lead the way with 12 points, followed by Qrendi on 8, Zejtun and Mellieha 7, Kirkop and Qormi 6, Victoria, San Gwann, Senglea and Luqa 4, Lija and Pembroke 2 and Xghajra 1.
