Gzira United registered a second win in the Bottom 6 of the YoHealth Malta Premier Opening Round as they defeated Naxxar Lions 3-1 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Thursday.

A win thanks to which they are now sure of avoiding the bottom two places. Naxxar, on the other hand, remain anchored at the bottom of the table with Tarxien Rainbows. 

Jork Becerra put the Maroons ahead on the half hour and Kante doubled the score on 66 minutes. Joao Moura pulled one back on 86 minutes but two minutes in added time, Santiago Martinez made it 3-1.
