Attard returned to winning ways as they defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 2-0 in a match from the BOV Amateur League I at the Sirens Stadium on Saturday.
Precious Uchechukwu Nwankwo scored the two goals on 27 minutes and 43 minutes.
In another match, Victoria Hotspurs defeated Kirkop United by the odd goal in five.
Karl Micallef put the Hotspurs ahead on 7 minutes but Seydna Dicko equalised on 37 minutes. Rondinely made it 2-1 for the Hotspurs on 58 minutes and Kurt Borg made it 3-1 on 71 minutes with Seydna Dicko reducing the gap five minutes later.
Attard and Mqabba lead the way with 15 points, followed by San Gwann on 13, Qormi 12, Victoria and Mellieha 10, Qrendi 9, Pembroke 8, Kirkop and Zejtun 7, Lija 5, Xghajra, Senglea and Luqa 4.
