Dingli Swallows moved second in the BOV Amateur League II as they defeated St. George’s 4-1 at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.
Mark Cutajar put Dingli ahead on 13 minutes and Ronaldinho Daley doubled the score on 35 minutes, Just before the end of the first half, Jurgen Gerada made it 3-0 and an own goal on 76 minutes extended the lead further before Jaden Camilleri pulled one back for St. George’s.
Rabat Ajax, on the other hand, returned to winning ways as they defeated Sta. Venera Lightnings 3-1.
Edward Falzon put the Magpies ahead on 18 minutes and Victor Ifeanyi Mbata doubled the score on 35 minutes. Mbata added another one minute in the second half and Andre Mallia reduced the gap on 54 minutes.
Kalkara lead the way with 21 points, followed by Dingli on 14, Rabat 13, Msida, Mdina and Siggiewi 12, Ta’ Xbiex 11, St. George’s 10, Marsaskala and Ghaxaq 5, Sta. Venera and Gharghur 3.
