Dr Matthew Paris to form part of FIFA Futsal Committee

Dr Matthew Paris, Senior Vice President of the Malta Football Association, has been chosen by FIFA to form part of the Futsal Committee.

Dr Paris is one of the 19 members from world football, chosen by Gianni Infantino and Mattias Grafstrom, President and General Secretary of FIFA, to form this committee.

In a brief comment, Dr Paris said that futsal in Malta is thriving with our national team that made it to the qualifying main round and with our u19 national team that consolidated its position.

“From an administrative side the MFA has an excellent relationship with FMA, whose President Mark Borg was recently nominated to act as a delegate for the upcoming Futsal Euro Finals. Luxol St Andrew’s Futsal has once again left its mark. From a player’s perspective, Malta has managed to export 3 local talents to other leagues outside of the country. All of this did not go unnoticed by the international futsal community,” said Dr Paris.

The FIFA Futsal Committee is headed by Chairperson Vadim Laasenko from the Latvia FA.
