Marsaxlokk secured the services of Lithuanian twenty nine year old midfielder Domantas Šimkus.

A product of LFF Akademija, he had a spell with Aalborg BK in Denmark at an early age before returning to Lithuania where he played for Atlantas and Zalgiris. Later he played for Hapoel Kfar Saba in Israel, FK Sabail in Azerbaijan and NS Mura in Slovenia before returning to Lithuania to join FA Šiauliai. Last summer, he joined Hamrun Spartans where he formed part of the squad which took part in the UEFA Conference League campaign.
