Mosta dropped two important points in the race to avoid the bottom two places in the YoHealth Malta Premier Opening Round Bottom 6 as they were held in a 2-2 draw by Tarxien Rainbows at the Victor Tedesco Stadium on Thursday.
The Blues join Zabbar on 13 points, four ahead of Naxxar but Zabbar and Naxxar will be facing each other later on Thursday.
Tarxien managed to take the lead after two minutes thanks to Gilson Costa. The match was interrupted immediately afterwards due to a failure in the FVS system following a power cut and the system was restarted around twenty five minutes later.
Mosta equalised on 45 minutes thanks to Prince Chibuzor Emmanuel and six minutes in added time, Aiden Agius made it 2-1 for Mosta.
Tarxien levelled matters on 76 minutes thanks to an Erico Junior penalty.
